The State Bank declared that in the recent time, in finance-banking market appeared some rumor that Vietnamese Government will increase share holding of foreign investors, strategically foreign investors defined in Decree no 69/2007/ND-CP dated 20th April 2007 about foreign investors buy share of Vietnamese Commercial Bank
According to the opinion of Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), the business activities and investment situation in the first 8 months of 2008, although faced with some difficulties, has remained development rate.
Addressing at the regular Cabinet meeting in August 2008, P.M Nguyen Tan Dung stressed that 2008 is a milestone year to fulfill the initiated social- economic targets. He noted that Vietnam maintained a rather high economic growth rate during the past eight months despite high inflation. However, he pointed out some pending issued during the last 8 months
At the session on 22nd May 2008, The National Assembly passed the resolution on pilot allow foreigner to buy and own apartment in a certain period of time in Vietnam.
Representatives from Government, Donors, Vietnam and foreign enterprise community attended the dialog session at Vietnam enterprise Forum on 2nd June 2008 in Hanoi, within the framework of the mid-term Donor Consultative Group meeting on June 5-6 in the province of Lao Cai’s Sapa town, which will focus on revising the situation and giving out some necessary solutions.
